Due to continued growth, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in a full-time or part-time role.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration of the business, ensuring accurate records and smooth financial operations.
This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Processing supplier invoices and subcontractor payments
- Bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations
- Payroll processing and employee records
- BAS preparation and GST reporting
- Managing cash flow and payment schedules
- Assisting with monthly financial reporting
- Liaising with accountants, suppliers, and internal staff
- Maintaining accurate records in Xero and internal systems
- Assisting with job costing and construction-related financial tracking
- General administration and office support when required
Skills & Experience
- Previous bookkeeping experience (construction industry experience highly regarded)
- Strong knowledge of Xero
- Good understanding of BAS, payroll, GST, and reconciliations
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
