Job Description
We are seeking Sterilisation Technician to join our CSSD Team at Port Macquarie Private Hospital. This role will see you working as a member of the Sterilising Services team to provide timely sterile products, trays and equipment for our busy theatre department. This is a critical part of the surgical process and the ability to work efficiently within a small team and manage pressing deadlines is crucial.
Your duties will include, but not limited to:

Maintain compliance with minimum requirements for equipment care, handling and re-processing.

Maintain your competency standards in all sterilisation and decontamination processes.

Adhere to sterilisation standards and relevant legislation affecting practice.

Collaborate with Theatre & other CSSD staff to ensure timely equipment processing.
Availability to work across a rotating 7-day roster is essential to be considered.
Skills and Experience
Autoclave Sterilization, Steam Sterilization, Infection Control, Instrument Sterilization, Sterilizing Equipment, Sterilization Validation, Endoscopy Equipment, Instrument Handling, Cleaning Equipment will all be part of the role.
Your positive attitude will enable you to work effectively alongside our team and independently as required. In addition, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to assist the perioperative team to deliver the best care for our patients in line with our Ramsay core values.
You will also bring:

Certificate III in Sterilisation Services
-
A comprehensive knowledge of CSSD processes and tasks
-
An understanding of relevant standards and AS5369 requirements
-
Experience in coordinating loan sets would be highly regarded
-
Ability to deliver high-quality service through effective teamwork
