Role Summary
The Senior Pega System Architect (SSA) will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and governing a Pega Constellation-based Customer Service solution for Government. The role is responsible for developing the solution that aligns with government policies, security standards, accessibility requirements, and service delivery outcomes, while leveraging Pega Customer Service, Case Management, and Omni-Channel capabilities.
The SSA will work closely with business stakeholders, Lead system architects, security teams, and delivery squads to translate complex service delivery requirements into scalable, maintainable Pega solutions.

You will be successful in this role if you have
- Strong hands-on experience building complex Pega case management solutions
- A solid understanding of Pega Customer Service and government service workflows
- The ability to interpret business rules, policy, and legislation into Pega configurations
- Experience working within Constellation UI constraints and best practices
- A quality-first mindset, focusing on reuse, performance, and maintainability
- The ability to collaborate effectively within Agile delivery teams
- Willingness to mentor junior developers and support team standards
You will be successful in this role if you have:
Mandatory
Pega Senior System Architect (SSA) certification
5–8 years of hands-on Pega development experience
Strong experience with Pega Customer Service
Advanced case management, data modelling, and rule design skills
Strong knowledge of Pega Guardrails, performance tuning, and reuse patterns
Ability to follow secure coding and data handling practices
Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Desirable
Hands-on experience designing solutions using Pega Constellation architecture
Experience with Australian Government platforms or agencies
Experience with:
Exposure to cloud deployments (AWS / Azure / Government Cloud)
Ability to work independently and in a team, with a strong sense of responsibility and adherence to deadlines.
