About the opportunity

As our Retail Postage Sorter, you’ll play an important part in keeping millions of Australians connected. As you’d expect, plenty of mail comes through our Post Offices and delivery facilities every day – and our mail sorting teams make sure every delivery gets where it needs to.

Role details:

Adult casual pay rate $34.45 / hour increases to $36.83 / hour after approx. 3 months + 12% Superannuation
Relief role covering Canberra GPO, Belconnen, Dickson, Jamison, Mitchell & Mitchell Parcels
4 weeks Full Time on the job paid training, Monday to Friday
Casual on call after training, shift times range between 3 hours to 7 hours, Monday to Friday between the hours of 4.30am-6.30pm

You’ll be

Manually sorting all mail arriving at the workplace.
Sorting and distributing mail into relevant PO Boxes.
Assisting and/or performing administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance.

About you

You’re friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love the balance of working in a team environment and autonomously.
You’re motivated by the opportunity to help make a difference to your community.
Call upon your memory and hand-eye coordination while sorting.
Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail regularly and stand for your shift.
