Full Job Description

Golden Point Medical Centre is a Bulk Billing Medical Centre based in the Regional Town of Ballarat – very close to the iconic Sovereign Hill. We are looking for friendly, engaging and experienced full-time General Practitioners who are focused on providing genuine and quality care to our patients. We operate under DoveTouch Specialists Pty Ltd whose primary goal is to provide General Practice and Specialist Medical Care to patients especially in Regional, Rural and Remote parts of Victoria and other parts of Australia.

We are advertising for our location in Ballarat (Regional Victoria – only 1.5 hours from Melbourne CBD). We pride in offering holistic care to our patients. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

Full-time role.
As our newly appointed General Practitioner, you will be available to work Full-Time for 8-10 sessions each week. They include rostered hours and occasional weekends.
Excellent earning potential applies. Our remuneration is generous as we offer a percentage on billings based on experience. Salary per annum from AUD $100,000/-

· Conducting examinations and having patient consultations to determine the nature of disorders and illnesses and recording patients' medical information through appropriate coding.

· Organising pathology tests, x-rays and other diagnostic procedures, and interpreting findings to assist in diagnosis.

· Providing overall care for patients including but not limited to prescribing and administering treatments, medications, remedial measures and patient management plan.

· Organising recalls and monitoring patients' progress and response to treatment.

· Advising on diet, exercise and other habits which aid prevention and treatment of disease and disorders including organising appropriate health / age-appropriate plans.

· Referring patients to and exchanging medical information with specialist medical practitioners and / allied health practitioners.

· Reporting births, deaths and notifiable diseases to government authorities.

· Organising emergency referrals and following up with the hospitals and / specialists.

· Following RACGP guided patient management plan – including but not limited to immunisation, care plan, health assessment/s etc.

Qualified and meeting AHPRA Guidelines and Requirements.
Have current AHPRA Registration (Note: Minimum General Registration required)
Demonstrated experience working as a General Practitioner.
