An exciting opportunity is available for a Part-Time Radiology Nurse to join the Medical Imaging team at East Grampians Health Service (EGHS).

Working Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00am to 3:30pm, this position offers an excellent work-life balance while providing an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our Radiology service and the community we care for.

About Us

East Grampians Health Service is based in Ararat and Willaura (Regional Victoria) and takes its name from the magnificent mountain range that provides a backdrop to both townships. We are committed to providing quality care and services that meet the needs of the community, whilst continuously striving for improvement and aiming to lead the way in provision of health related services:

The Radiology department is located at the main site in Ararat. It supports EGHS clinical services by offering services in Ultrasound, CT, X-ray, Bone Density Imaging and Theatre Imaging for both acute patients and the community. In practice, you will work in a team of both Radiographers and Sonographers whilst having support from our excellent administration staff and a team of rotating radiologists.

About The Role

As a Radiology Nurse, you will:

Provide nursing care and support of all patients whilst in the Medical Imaging department
Support the Medical Imaging staff in the safe and effective delivery of services
Contribute to maintaining a welcoming, patient-focused environment
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Plan, deliver, evaluate and review care in partnership with the medical imaging practitioner, patient/resident, their families/carers and the multidisciplinary team
Ensure safe practice in line with EGHS policy, guidelines, and best-practice standards

About You

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate nurse with excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to providing high-quality care.

You will have:

Registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with current AHPRA registration
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
Experience in Radiology, Perioperative or Acute Care, or a genuine interest in developing your skills within Radiology and the specialised procedures we perform
Confidence and competence in IV cannulation
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to work effectively with a diverse range of healthcare professionals
A demonstrated commitment to holistic, patient-centred care
Experience using electronic medical records, Radiology systems and booking platforms, or a willingness to learn

Appointment is subject to immunisation clearance and current and satisfactory Employment Checks (Police and Working With Children Checks and NDIS Worker Screening Check).
