Exciting opportunity in a new supportive service to cover Maternity Leave with further opportunities to remain as a permanent educator within the service at the end of the fixed term contract due to occupancy growth or maintain the Educational Leader by transferring to another Edge site. We believe in creating enriching Early Childhood Education and Care environments that inspire meaningful learning journeys for children. Our purpose-built service features thoughtfully designed spaces that encourage exploration and creativity, and we are looking for a passionate Educational Leader to guide our dedicated team of educators.

About the Role: You will lead innovative curriculum development, embracing play-based learning that stimulates intellectual curiosity and encourages a love for discovery.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and implementation of engaging, high-quality educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
Mentor and support educators to plan and deliver meaningful learning experiences
Promote a holistic approach to education, incorporating health, fitness, culture, music, language, cooking, and outdoor activities
Foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity
Provide constructive feedback to educators to promote continuous improvement and a culture of positive change
Collaborate with families to ensure each child’s learning journey is supported and enriched
Stay up-to-date with the latest research and trends in early childhood education, leading the team in innovative practices

What we are looking for:

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis Certificate, or willingness to obtain before you start.
Current Child Protection Training Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
Current Working with Children Check.
Demonstrated passion for nurturing the next generation of learners
Experience in leading curriculum development with a focus on play-based learning and holistic education
Strong written communication and literacy skills, with the ability to document and communicate educational progress effectively
An ability to provide feedback that fosters professional growth and a positive team culture
High-level time management skills to effectively balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
A collaborative mindset, committed to working as part of a community of learners
