Full Job Description

Compass Group is a world leader in catering and support services. ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

Working various swings as required from 1x week to 3x weeks at a time.
Enjoy free on-site Gym access, swimming pools & recreational facilities.
FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns.

The Position

Prepare buffet /bulk style bulk cooking for Breakfast and Crib lunch, or Dinner and Desserts
You will work within a team of Chefs, kitchen utilities & dining room employees to deliver exceptional quality and service to the village residents and visitors.
Adhere to safe work practices and safe food handling procedures.
Ensure all catering controls are in place & wastage is kept to the minimum.
Offer guidance and support to the kitchen team where needed, to ensure a great experience for all diners.
Enhance workplace culture – display high levels of customer service, contribute ideas and be flexible to meet the needs of the business.

The Person

You will be a qualified Chef with a minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery or Equivalent
Bulk catering or buffet experience is essential.
You will have the ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and great time management is a must.
Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations
Excellent knowledge of food safety and able to manage compliance.
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical with drug and alcohol screening
