About Three Blue Ducks x Byron Bay
Three Blue Ducks Byron Bay is set on The Farm - an 80-acre working farm just outside of town, home to macadamia orchards, gardens and a busy, produce-driven restaurant. It’s a high-volume venue with a strong focus on sustainability, seasonality and genuine hospitality. Every part of the menu is shaped by what’s grown, raised and sourced locally - and every person in our team plays a part in that.
The Restaurant
Three Blue Ducks Byron Bay is one of our original and most loved venues, known for its relaxed, produce-driven menu and strong connection to the farm. We’re looking for a strong Junior Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie to join the team.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen where consistency, organisation and leadership are key. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen leadership team to support day-to-day operations, lead sections during service, and help drive standards across the kitchen.
We’re looking for chefs with solid experience in quality restaurants who take pride in their work, lead by example, and thrive in a busy, team-focused environment. You’ll bring a strong understanding of service, a good eye for detail, and a genuine passion for produce-driven cooking.
Join a venue that’s built on good food, good people, and a strong connection to the land - and be part of a team that continues to grow and evolve.
What we’re looking for:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a quality restaurant environment
Experience as a Senior CDP ready to step up, or already working as a Junior Sous Chef
Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and support a team during service
Solid understanding of kitchen operations, prep, and service flow
Consistent, organised, and calm under pressure in a high-volume environment
A genuine passion for produce-driven cooking and seasonal ingredients
Reliable, hands-on, and a team player who leads by example
