Full Job Description

Butcher (Fully Qualified) FT - Alphington VIC 3078

Position Description:

Grange Meat Co is a butcher and further processing facility east of the Melbourne CBD. We specialise in production of high quality product for major caterers, restuarants, cafes and other hospitality across Melbourne and Greater Melbourne.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:

Preparation of products, including cutting, trimming, boning and slicing
Preparation of gourmet, and game meat
Preparation of value-added, and marinated products (as required)
Operation of machinery and equipment, including mincer, grinder, and band saw, etc. (as required)
Maintaining general department cleanliness (as required)
Compliance with all relevant legislation, including Food Safety and Occupational Health & Safety, etc.
Uphold and maintain all Policies & Procedures, including uniform standards
Any other tasks as required by the Meat Department Manager and

Roster & Availability:

FT position
Morning Shift (4AM - 12PM)
Day Shift
Immediate start available

Required Expereince:

Previous butchering experience
Good product knowledge
Highly organised and efficient
Strong work ethic
Ability to adhere to all Policies & Procedures
Adheres to uniform standards

Hourly - starting from $30.00 per hour (ordinary hours)

NB - Starting wage shown is for FT position.
