Primary objective
Provide high level, client-focussed generalist and specialised Information Communication Technology (ICT) advice, support, and
project coordination to NTPS agencies and employees.
Context statement
ICT services are delivered to client agencies under a centralised services model across a geographically and culturally diverse
environment. The ICT Service Delivery team provides a range of ICT support services to enhance agencies’ effective operation of
digital environments, ensuring alignment of ICT strategy in accordance with whole of Government policies and standards.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. As a senior support resource, work closely with the ICT Manager and ICT Senior Manager to provide a responsive high quality
ICT advisory service and deliver end-to-end operational support to assist client agencies to manage their ICT requirements.
2. Work collaboratively within ICT Services and with client agency staff to ensure compliance with NTPS and agency policies,
standards, practices, and delegations, while actively contributing to frontline ICT service delivery activities.
3. Participate and lead ICT projects to review, develop and implement policies, procedures, standards, systems, and processes to
support effective and consistent ICT Service delivery, while balancing day-to-day operational support responsibilities.
4. Research, collate and analyse information from a variety of sources to prepare correspondence and provide high quality,
effective and timely ICT responses and advice, including resolving routine and complex operational support issues.
5. Build and maintain effective team relationships; share information, resolve issues, and provide leadership, mentoring and
training to support a collaborative team.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated experience delivering outsourced ICT services in a shared services environment with multiple providers,
including hands-on involvement in day-to-day ICT service delivery and support activities.
2. High-level communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills to establish effective relationships across levels and
cultures, positively influence practice, and support client engagement in ICT service delivery.
3. Demonstrated planning, problem solving and high-level organisational skills to effectively balance advisory, project and
operational ICT support responsibilities and efficiently manage multiple high priority tasks with conflicting deadlines.
4. Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies, and contemporary ICT management practices across a range of
diverse areas and apply these in both operational service delivery and advisory contexts.
5. Well-developed written skills and the ability to research and analyse information for preparing a range of high-
level correspondence and clear and concise documentation, such as operational documentation and service responses.
6. Leadership capability to supervise, guide, train, and mentor team members in the active delivery of day-to-day ICT services.
7. Hold or have the ability to obtain a PF166 NT Police security clearance.
8. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of Commitment to Service, Innovation, Ethical Practice,

Desirable
1. Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or industry certifications.
