As a Youth Worker, you will provide support, supervision and care to children and young people, helping them feel safe, valued and connected.
You will:
- Build trusting and professional relationships with young people.
- Support young people to develop life skills, confidence and independence.
- Encourage participation in activities, decision-making and goal setting.
- Support positive connections with family, peers and important people in their lives.
- Complete documentation and contribute to quality care outcomes.
This is a casual shift work role requiring availability across a range of shifts, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends and sleepovers.
You will need to be comfortable transporting young people as required, with a reliable vehicle, comprehensive insurance and unrestricted driver’s licence.
To work as a Youth Worker in Queensland, you must:
- Have completed or be actively enrolled in a relevant qualification.
- Hold an unrestricted (Open) Driver’s Licence.
- Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or be willing to obtain prior to commencement).
- Have a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance.
Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable people is highly regarded.
- $50.61 per hour + 12% Superannuation (SCHADS Level 3.1 Casual).
