About the role Hawkins Industrial Contracting is seeking a talented Mining Plant Operator to join our team in Far West, NSW. As a Mining Plant Operator, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of mining facilities, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of mining equipment. This is a full-time position that will provide you with the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
What you'll be doing
Operate a variety of mining equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, and haul trucks, to extract and transport materials
Perform regular maintenance and inspections on mining equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
Collaborate with the mining team to identify and implement process improvements
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to equipment usage, maintenance, and production
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Mining Plant Operator or similar role in Heavy industry/Manufacturing/Forestry
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues
Drivers Licence
Ability to pass a pre-employement and ongoing Drug and Alcohol Testing
