Program Officer – VPS4 – Ongoing / Full time

What you’ll do

The Program Officer supports the effective delivery of corporate operations at the Victorian Public Sector Commission by providing high-quality coordination, advisory and administrative support across a range of functions. The role contributes to key processes and initiatives including accounts payable and receivable, compliance and risk, audit and assurance, information and records management, business continuity, integrity processes, and broader operational activities. Working collaboratively across the Commission and with external stakeholders, the Program Officer helps strengthen governance, promote operational consistency and drive continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for a highly organised and adaptable professional with experience in administration, coordination or corporate support roles, and a proven ability to manage competing priorities while delivering high-quality support. You will bring demonstrated experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, budget reporting or financial processing, along with strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams. Experience supporting governance, compliance, risk or audit activities will be highly regarded, as will familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools, records management, and experience working in the Victorian Public Service or broader public sector.
