The Role:
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to join our growing eCommerce business. This is not just a supervisory role—you'll lead by example, working alongside the team to ensure orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and efficiently.
You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day warehouse operations while supervising a small team of 2–5 warehouse staff. The ideal candidate is organised, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and efficiency are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Operate scissor lifts and forklifts safely for loading, unloading, and stock movements.
- Book freight labels and organize daily shipments with multiple carriers.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure smooth workflow.
- Supervise, train, and support a team of 2–4 warehouse staff.
- Maintain high standards of picking accuracy and dispatch performance.
- Lift and move stock up to 30kg
- Unload shipping containers and receive incoming stock.
- Organize warehouse storage and optimize stock locations.
- Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock takes.
- Process customer's returns efficiently.
- Ensure all orders are dispatched on time.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization at all times.
- Develop and enforce warehouse procedures and best practices.
- Monitor warehouse KPIs and continuously improve productivity and accuracy.
- Prepare staff rosters and allocate daily workloads.
- Follow and promote all workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements.
Skills & Experience:
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader.
- Strong hands-on experience in picking, packing, receiving, and dispatch.
- A current Forklift License (LF).
- Experience unloading containers.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), preferably Maropost, EIZ, or similar systems.
- Strong inventory management and stock control experience.
- Ability to lead by example and motivate a small team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 30kg
- Ability to use handheld scanners and basic computer skills
- Team player with a can-do attitude
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel
