Zephyr Environmental is seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to join our Adelaide-based team. This is a hybrid role, combining remote work from home with time in a co-working space, based in Adelaide.
About the Role
You will provide environmental consulting services across a diverse range of industrial and commercial sectors with the role covering air quality, dust and odour assessment, environmental compliance auditing, and technical reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental assessments and technical investigations across a range of industrial sites, including carrying out air quality impact assessments for development projects
- Undertake dust and odour impact assessments
- Perform air quality dispersion modelling using AERMOD and CALPUFF
- Perform environmental compliance audits
- Prepare technical reports, modelling outputs, and client-facing documentation
- Liaise with clients and regulatory stakeholders across multiple industry sectors
Essential Skills and Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering
- Demonstrated experience using GIS software
- Demonstrated experience with AERMOD and CALPUFF air dispersion modelling
- Proficiency in R* (scripting) and Python*
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including development of macros
- Experience conducting air quality, dust and odour assessments
- Experience with environmental/compliance audits such as NGER (National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting), HIR (Human-Induced Regeneration), ICER (Industrial and Commercial Emissions Reduction), RET (Renewable Energy Target), SFM (Savanna Fire Management), and AWT (Alternative Waste Treatment) methods
- Experience working across industrial sectors such as recycling, mining, coal, aluminium, feedstock, manufacturing, aviation, landfill, agriproducts, or quarrying is highly regarded
What We Offer
- Base salary circa: $ 80,000
