Role Description:
The Project Controls – Scheduler is responsible for executing the proper use of the company Schedule Management System through corporate Lifecycle Management (LCM) framework so that the project management team can adequately monitor and report on project cost, schedule progress and risk status. In the conduct of assigned duties, the Project Controls – Scheduler must maintain the goodwill of the Customer and company management, by ensuring that our established Scheduling processes are carried out to report and manage the project with timely, accurate schedule data.
Core Duties:
- Accountable for providing the required level of execution and contribution towards delivering the project controls scope of work in support of the schedule baseline, the effective use of project controls tool sets and integration with project reporting as required by the project team
- Assist the project team to establish the initial schedule baseline
- Establish and maintain a fully resourced and integrated Project Schedule and Control Account detailed schedules
- Assisting with Project Controls support for business unit including multiple lines of business or large projects
- Use schedule tools (Open Plan / Primavera / Microsoft Project) to enter all baseline, progress and forecast data into the schedule tools
- Execute data input into the Project Performance Review Pack (PPRP)
- Maintenance of schedule code files for seamless integration into Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- May perform minor finance and contract related functions under direct guidance of the Project Manager or functional staff
Essential Skills:
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Proven performance at a similar level OR demonstrated proven performance and progression in the scheduling domain
- Demonstrated project or general administration experience is highly regarded
- Demonstrated schedule experience is essential
- Ability to interact effectively with colleagues within and outside immediate team, to implement business requirements
- Experience with Project Controls toolsets such as Primavera P6 and Cobra required
- Proven experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Ability to obtain Australian Defence security clearance of Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) is required

The Jindalee Operational Radar Network (JORN) is a connected series of three remote over-the-horizon radars (OTHR) located in Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia. The state-of-the-art defence system provides wide-area surveillance at ranges of 1,000 to 3,000 kilometres and plays a vital role in supporting the Australian Defence Force’s (ADF) air and maritime operations, border protection, disaster relief and rescue operations
