Role Description
This is a full-time role for an Industrial Electrician located in Adamstown, NSW. The successful applicant will be based between our Adamstown NSW workshop and a number of Customer sites. The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for performing the installation, maintenance, and occasionally the repair of electrical systems, including electrical wiring and troubleshooting. This hands-on role supports both project delivery and operation continuity through construction of MCC's, servicing of variable speed drives, PLCs and safety systems.
It also includes working on complex systems including robotics and industrial automation, with a strong focus on safety, technical quality and Customer service.
Primarily based within our project team, the successful candidate may occasionally be called upon to support our Service team with breakdown servicing and repairs as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Project Work
- Carry out electrical installations, wiring, and commissioning as part of project delivery
- Construct and wire Motor Control Centres (MCCs) in compliance with technical drawings and standards
- Install and support variable speed drives, PLC systems, and operator interfaces
- Assist in the deployment and integration of robotics and safety systems
Breakdown Support
- Support the breakdown team when required by assisting in technical fault finding and repairs.
- Provide temporary backup for urgent Customer breakdowns while maintaining project continuity.
Operational Support
- Complete stock receipting and manage materials for ongoing projects
- Assist with general operational duties in the workshop or on site
- Accurately record design, development, and service communication
- Liaise with Customers and report on customer satisfaction during internal team meetings
- Monitor and provide input on supplier performance regarding service and product quality
Work Environment
This role is primarily based between our Workshop in Adamstown NSW and our Customers sites, depending on our current project needs.
This role involves occasional weekday overtime, as well as weekend work where required.
Some working away from home may be required, including overnight stays.
Qualifications
- Current Drivers Licence - ability to drive manual vehicles
- Electrical licence
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology (or in 4th year of apprenticeship)
- White Card
- LVR/CPR Certificate (prefered, but able to be provided if successful)
- Working at Heights Certificate (prefered, but able to be provided if successful)
Personal Attributes
- Excellent mathematical capability for performing accurate calculations and diagnostics
- Advanced mechanical and technical aptitude, with strong hands on skills
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in installations, repairs and documentation
- Good eyesight with no colour blindness, essential for identifying wiring and componentry
- Familiarity with AS3000 Wiring rules, supporting safety and compliance
- Ability to work effectively with others and supervise apprentice electricians when required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence engaging with Customers and colleagues

Pay: $45.00 – $55.00 per hour
