About the Role
The Engagement and Conversion Officer (International) plays a vital role in supporting the University of Wollongong’s global growth by guiding prospective international students from offer to enrolment. Through targeted communications, web content and conversion activities, this role helps future students navigate their journey to UOW, enhancing their experience and increasing conversion outcomes. Working collaboratively with global teams, the position directly contributes to building a diverse and thriving international student community.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted, multi-channel communication campaigns that increase offer-to-enrolment conversion rates for international students.
- Coordinate and execute conversion-focused events and outreach activities that enhance engagement and support informed decision-making among offer holders and agents.
- Maintain accurate, segmented student data to enable personalised communications and improve campaign effectiveness.
- Provide responsive case management and service support that resolves enquiries efficiently and contributes to a positive future student experience.
About the Team
This role sits within the International Student Recruitment Division in the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Growth and Global) portfolio at UOW. It works closely with a global network of recruitment, admissions and service teams, as well as internal stakeholders across faculties, marketing and student services. The team exists to support prospective international students throughout their decision-making journey, driving enrolment outcomes and contributing to UOW’s global growth.
What You’ll Bring
- Relevant tertiary qualification, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Experience in delivering targeted communications or marketing campaigns, ideally using Marketo, or marketing automation platforms.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to create engaging content across digital channels.
- Ability to manage and analyse data to inform communications and improve outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across teams in a complex environment.
