About us:

Join a supportive and fast-paced team at the Travel Office, conveniently located on Bolsover Street in Rockhampton. This important service plays a key role in supporting both patients and staff across Central Queensland by coordinating travel and accommodation arrangements throughout the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. If you enjoy organisation, customer service, and making a meaningful difference behind the scenes, this is a rewarding opportunity to help ensure people can access the care and services they need.

About the role:
Coordinate patient and staff travel, accommodation bookings, and travel claims, ensuring timely service and compliance with Queensland Health policies.
Provide expert advice on travel and accommodation options, including managing complex, non-standard, and Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme requests.
Maintain accurate travel records, applications, claims, and booking information while ensuring confidentiality and attention to detail.
Exercise sound judgement to achieve cost-effective travel outcomes, prevent unnecessary expenses, and support financial reconciliation processes.
Deliver high-quality customer service by liaising with patients, carers, healthcare providers, and staff, while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
About you:

As the successful applicant, you will demonstrate:

Knowledge, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge, of travel administration processes and cost-effective travel arrangements in line with Queensland Health policies and guidelines.
Strong computer and database skills, with the ability to manage travel-related information, accounts processing, and compliance requirements accurately.
Excellent keyboard, data entry, and administrative skills, with a high level of speed and accuracy.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, consult, and build positive relationships with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively, manage competing priorities, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $100,585 p.a. is comprised of:

An hourly rate between $39.98 - $44.46 p.h.
12.75% employer superannuation contribution
17.5% leave loading
