Seven West Media and Southern Cross Group (ASX: SXL) joined forces earlier this year to create one of Australia’s most powerful and influential media companies. The result is a true multimedia heavyweight with a market‑leading footprint across television, audio, publishing, and digital.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sports Sales Director to join our Perth‑based team to own and drive our sports commercial strategy across multiple platforms at Seven West Media.

This is a high‑impact role where you will sit at the centre of our sports ecosystem, working with premium rights, major sporting codes, and key stakeholders to unlock new revenue opportunities and elevate how brands connect with sport.

We are proud broadcast partners of the country’s biggest sporting moments, including the AFL, Cricket Australia, Supercars, and the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

The role will lead the end‑to‑end commercial strategy across our sports portfolio, shaping how we take our products to market and how we monetise some of the biggest sporting moments and partnerships available. From agencies to direct clients, and internal to external partners, you will be the driving force behind revenue growth in sport.

About the role

Develop and execute market‑leading go‑to‑market strategies across sports products and verticals.
Drive revenue across print, digital, and advertising platforms.
Build and manage strong relationships with media agencies.
Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity to deliver innovative solutions for clients.
Leverage major partnerships to create commercially compelling opportunities.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with sales, marketing, content, and leadership teams.
Identify new sponsorship, integration, and partnership opportunities.
Act as the commercial lead for all sports‑related activity.

About you

Demonstrated experience in media sales or sports partnerships.
Proven track record of driving revenue and exceeding targets.
Strong understanding of the agency landscape and client dynamics.
Experience building strategic, multi‑platform campaigns.
Ability to influence and manage both internal and external stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
A proactive, results‑driven individual with a strategic mindset and focus on execution.
Strong commercial acumen with a bias for action.
