About the role:
We are in the early stages of developing a new gold processing facility and associated infrastructure at our site near Laverton, WA. We are seeking an experienced Operational Readiness Electrical Engineer to join our team, as a technical specialist who ensures that all electrical infrastructure, power distribution systems, and control logic are fully maintainable and safely operable before the first ore is fed into the plant.
Key responsibilities-
- Power & Infrastructure Readiness.
- HV/LV Network Governance: Review and approve High Voltage (HV) switching programs and maintain electrical models to ensure network stability.
- Compliance: Ensure all installations meet AS/NZS 3000 standards and local mining regulations.
- Maintenance Tactics: Develop FMECA based maintenance tactics for critical assets like SAG/Ball mills, crushers, and transformers.
- CMMS Master Data: Oversee the upload of electrical asset hierarchies, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and preventative maintenance schedules ready for loading into CMMS.
- Critical Spares: Identify and procure long lead electrical spares such as protection relays, VSD components, and specific motor frames.
About you:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Certification: Ability to hold or support Statutory Electrical Engineering functions.
- Experienced in mineral processing (Gold/Copper) with exposure to HV networks and PLC/SCADA systems.
