Supply Chain Coordinator — Job Description

Overview

The Supply Chain Coordinator supports planning, procurement, logistics, inventory, and vendor relations to ensure products and materials move efficiently from suppliers to customers. This role tracks shipments, resolves supply issues, and maintains accurate records to meet production and delivery targets.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate day-to-day supply chain activities across procurement, warehousing, and distribution.
Process purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to confirm lead times and delivery dates.
Track shipments (domestic and international), monitor carriers, and update stakeholders on status and exceptions.
Manage inventory levels: perform cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and trigger replenishment.
Communicate with suppliers, carriers, internal teams (production, sales, finance) to resolve delays, quality issues, or order changes.
Maintain and update supply chain documentation and systems (ERP/WMS/TMS): purchase orders, bills of lading, packing lists, and delivery confirmations.
Prepare regular reports and KPIs (on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, days of inventory, fill rate) and recommend improvements.
Support demand planning by providing supply-side data and lead-time inputs to planners.
Assist with customs documentation and compliance for international shipments as needed.
Participate in supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
Experience: 1–3 years in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or operations (entry to mid-level).
Systems: Experience with ERP/WMS/TMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail; ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications (optional): APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, or IATA/Customs training a plus.
Other: Familiarity with import/export processes and Incoterms is beneficial.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Office-based with regular communication with warehouses and carriers; occasional site visits to warehouses or suppliers.
May require extended hours to manage time-sensitive shipments or cross-time-zone coordination.

Pay: $32.34 – $42.14 per hour
