Veterinary Receptionist | Vetwest Currambine
Love the veterinary industry but ready to swap the treatment room for the front desk?
We're looking for an organised, people-loving Veterinary Receptionist who can help create a warm and positive experience for every client and pet who walks through our doors.
This could be the perfect role for an experienced vet nurse wanting to step back from the clinical side while still enjoying everything you love about working with pets and their people. Whether you're looking for a full-time role or part-time hours, we'd love to hear from you. We're open to both options, with part-time applicants available for a minimum of 30-32 hours per week.
Our reception team supports a busy clinic with three consulting vets every day, so multitasking isn't just a skill, it's a superpower. One minute you'll be booking appointments, the next helping a nervous first-time puppy owner, answering the phone, processing payments, and somehow remembering where Mrs Smith left her cat carrier.
What You'll Be Doing
-
Welcoming clients and pets with warmth, empathy, and a smile
-
Managing a busy appointment book and multiple phone lines
-
Keeping consultations running smoothly throughout the day
-
Handling client enquiries, payments, and administration
-
Supporting vets and nurses behind the scenes
-
Delivering exceptional customer service, even when the waiting room is full and the phone is ringing
About You
-
You genuinely love helping people
-
You're highly organised and thrive in a busy environment
-
Multitasking comes naturally to you
-
You can stay calm when three things need your attention at once
-
You have excellent communication skills and attention to detail
-
Sound computer skills and confidence learning new systems
-
A team-first attitude with a willingness to support colleagues wherever needed
-
Previous veterinary or reception experience is highly regarded with knowledge of EzyVet or similar veterinary practice software
Why Join Vetwest Currambine?
We're a friendly, supportive team that believes work should be productive, rewarding, and occasionally filled with stories about what pets have eaten this week.
You'll be joining a clinic that values teamwork, client care, and a good sense of humour. No two days are the same, and you'll play a vital role in creating a positive experience for every client and pet that walks through our doors.
Veterinary reception can be busy, but we believe it should also be sustainable. We work hard to create rosters that support a healthy work-life balance, so you can enjoy your time both in and out of the clinic.
-
Full-time or part-time opportunities available
-
A shared weekend roster, because weekends are better when everyone takes a turn
-
Rotating shifts across our opening hours of 7:30am to 7:00pm, providing variety throughout the week
-
A supportive team that genuinely helps each other out when things get busy
-
Plenty of puppy cuddles, kitten antics and memorable client moments along the way
If you're organised, customer-focused, can juggle multiple priorities without breaking a sweat, and know that every great veterinary clinic starts with a great reception team, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today and help keep our busy clinic running smoothly, one phone call, one appointment, and one surprise Labrador dietary confession at a time.
