At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist Level 1-2 to join the Mental Health Assertive Outreach Team (AOT). This is an exciting opportunity to provide recovery-focused care that supports consumers to remain in the community and achieve meaningful health outcomes.

About the Opportunity

As an Occupational Therapist Level 1-2, you will provide high-quality, consumer-centred occupational therapy services to adults with complex mental health needs. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver assessment, intervention, care planning and recovery-focused support in community settings, helping consumers achieve their goals in the least restrictive environment possible.

This position plays a key role in supporting recovery, independence and community participation. In this role you will:

Provide occupational therapy assessment and interventions for consumers with complex mental health needs.
Develop collaborative, recovery-focused care plans with consumers, families and carers.
Deliver consumer-centred care in accordance with clinical guidelines, policies and best practice standards.
Work closely with GPs, hospitals, NGOs and community services to support positive outcomes.
Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Engage in ongoing professional development, supervision and professional practice activities

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

Qualifications and registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Australia.
Experience or interest in working with consumers experiencing complex mental health challenges.
Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and care planning skills.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with consumers, families and stakeholders.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a community-based setting
