Occupational Therapist (Paediatric) - New Graduate or Experienced

Role type: Full-time or part-time (we’ll tailor hours to suit)
Client group: Children and families (clinic, community and education settings as required)
Start date: Flexible
Support: Structured onboarding, regular supervision and in-house learning

Whether you’re stepping into your first OT role or bringing experience with you, Coastal Kids offers the support, flexibility and team culture to help you do your best work. New graduates can join our structured Grad to Great! program. Experienced therapists will have a tailored development pathway and the chance to grow into advanced clinical or leadership streams.

When you join Coastal Kids, you’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to make a meaningful difference for children and families in our community. You’ll be supported every step of the way, with practical systems, shared problem-solving and supervision that helps you build confidence and deliver strong outcomes.

Who we are
Coastal Kids has supported the Townsville community since 2010. We are a growing private practice providing occupational therapy and speech pathology services for children and families. Our work includes feeding therapy, group programs, community visits, and education and support for day cares and schools. Our team includes Allied Health Assistants (including those studying speech and OT), recent graduates, therapists with 5+ years experience, and a director with 20+ years in the speech therapy field.

What you’ll bring

Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
Registration (or eligibility for registration) with AHPRA
A genuine interest in paediatrics and supporting families

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Eligibility for a Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check, plus working rights in Australia
