Guided by our core values of respect, integrity and excellence, and our commitment to creating and sharing knowledge, transforming lives and solving the problems that matter to our world.
The Office of Research, within the Academic and Research portfolio, provides leadership and expert services that enhance the delivery of research activities and research performance.
This role will lead the delivery of key components of the replacement of in-scope modules within the University’s Research Information Solutions Ecosystem (RISE), working closely with the Information Technology and Digital Services, Library Services, academic stakeholders and external vendors to support a more effective, integrated and user-centred research systems environment.
You are an experienced project manager with a strong track record of delivering complex digital or business systems projects in a large and multi-stakeholder environment. You bring strong judgement, clear communication and a practical, outcomes-focused approach. You are comfortable working across technical and business teams, managing competing priorities, navigating complexity and maintaining momentum across all phases of a project lifecycle.
You will lead the end-to-end delivery of the Research Systems project, including project planning, scheduling, governance reporting, stakeholder engagement, vendor management, testing coordination, risk and issue management, and project closure. Working within UniSQ’s project delivery framework, you will ensure the project remains aligned to agreed scope, timeframes, budget and benefits realisation objectives. You will also oversee change management and communications activities to support successful implementation and adoption across the University.
- Degree qualifications and relevant extensive experience in project management, preferably within higher education, digital transformation, enterprise systems or a similarly complex environment.
-
Demonstrated experience managing large or complex projects through all phases of delivery, including planning, execution, governance, risk management, testing and implementation.
-
Highly developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical teams, business areas, governance groups and external suppliers.
-
Strong capability in managing project dependencies, risks, issues and change in a structured way, together with a focus on delivery, quality and benefits realisation.
