Role Purpose and Objectives
The Officer will maintain the Moira Shire Council Pound Facility located in Cobram:
12 Dog and 16 Cat pound facility, with room for expansion.
Livestock yards for the holding of sheep, goats, alpacas, pigs, cattle and horses and with cages for small livestock such as rabbits, guinea pigs and poultry.
Provide administrative support to the Animal Management team in managing the pound registers.
This is a part-time position working 38 hours per fortnight. The role will require availability on weekends and public holidays. Please note that this position is engaged under a special engagement arrangement and, as such, penalty rates do not apply.

Skills and Experiences:

- Excellent animal handling skills, and able to assess and temperament test dogs and cats.
- Able to work autonomously and make decisions.
- Excellent communication skills including the capacity to deal with conflict and difficult customers.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality in a legislated environment.
