Position – ICT Systems Test Engineer
Location – Truganina, Victoria 3029
Salary - $75,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation per annum
Employment Type – Permanent, Full-time (38 hours per week)
THE ROLE:
We are seeking a qualified ICT Systems Test Engineer to support the testing, evaluation and quality assurance of software applications, ICT systems and integrated technology solutions. You will work collaboratively with developers, analysts and project teams to ensure systems operate efficiently, securely and in line with technical and business requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Develop, plan and execute system testing strategies, test plans and test cases for software applications, ICT systems and integrated digital platforms.
· Analyse system specifications and technical requirements to ensure testing activities align with business objectives and functional expectations.
· Perform functional, integration, regression, performance and user acceptance testing to identify defects, inconsistencies and system vulnerabilities.
· Design and maintain automated and manual testing procedures to support software quality assurance and system reliability.
· Identify, document and troubleshoot system defects, working collaboratively with developers and technical teams to implement effective resolutions.
· Evaluate ICT systems, applications and interfaces to ensure performance, usability, security and compliance with organisational and client requirements.
· Monitor testing outcomes and prepare detailed technical reports, including defect tracking, risk assessments and recommendations for system improvements.
· Collaborate with software developers, business analysts and project stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle to support successful system implementation and deployment.
· Assist in validating system upgrades, enhancements and integrations to ensure ongoing operational efficiency and compatibility across platforms.
· Maintain testing documentation, procedures and quality assurance records in accordance with organisational standards and industry best practices.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance testing methodologies, processes and system performance.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
· Relevant qualification, such as a bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology (or agreed equivalent).
· Minimum of 1 year (preferably more) work experience in ICT systems testing, software quality assurance or a related ICT testing environment.
· Experience performing manual and/or automated testing across software applications, systems or enterprise platforms.
· Knowledge of software testing methodologies, testing tools and defect management processes.
· Ability to analyse technical specifications and identify system defects, risks and performance issues.
· Experience preparing test plans, test cases, testing documentation and quality assurance reports.
· Familiarity with databases, APIs, system integrations and cloud-based environments.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
· Ability to work collaboratively within a project team and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality ICT solutions.
· You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.
