Service Manager – Appliance Repairs/Installation Company
Best Repairs is a leading appliance repair and warranty service company servicing residential and commercial clients across Sydney. We are authorised service agents for premium appliance brands and specialise in repairs, servicing, diagnostics, and customer support for kitchen and laundry appliances.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a practical, organised, and technically minded Service Manager to lead our field service operations and support our growing team of technicians and office staff.
About the Role
This role is ideal for someone with strong technical experience in appliances who is ready to step into a leadership and coordination role.
You will be the key support person for our technicians in the field, while also helping manage client communication, job quality, reporting, invoicing, and ongoing team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to technicians in the field
- Respond to client enquiries and provide clear, professional communication
- Review completed job reports to ensure accuracy, quality, and completeness
- Prepare and send invoices based on completed service work
- Attend client sites when required for quoting, warranty inspections, or technical follow-ups
- Assist in identifying training gaps within the service team
- Help structure and deliver periodic technical training for technicians
- Support the team in maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service
- Work closely with management to improve service processes and team performance
About You
You will be someone who is reliable, solutions-focused, and comfortable dealing with both technicians and clients. You should enjoy solving technical problems, supporting a team, and helping improve the way service work is delivered.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in appliances or similar service industries
- Demonstrated strong technical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with the ability to resolve complex service issues efficiently.
- Ability to guide and support technicians in the field
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing service reports, quotations, and invoices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Ability to attend client sites when required
- Experience with commercial gas appliances is desirable
- Previous service management or team leadership experience is highly regarded, but not essential for the right person
