Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers is a mid-tier law firm with offices in Sydney, Parramatta, Campbelltown, Melbourne, Wollongong, Hobart, and Newcastle. We specialise in property, commercial, litigation and dispute resolution, employment & industrial relations, and plaintiff personal injury law. Our diverse clientele includes corporate, government, not-for-profit, SME, and personal clients.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an undergraduate law student to join our team in our Raymond Terrace office.

In this casual role (minimum two-three days per week) supporting a team, you will engage in diverse legal functions and administrative tasks in Personal Injury matters.

This role is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working in a law firm, develop your legal skills and apply what you are studying.

Key Responsibilities:

Liaising with clients
Preparation of correspondence, court documents, statements, and subpoenas
Attending court and settlements
Legal research and court filing as required
Extensive file and document management
Proactively managing solicitor and client requests/inquiries
Providing high-level support to professional staff within the team

Successful Candidates Will Have:

Students in their first or second year of their law degree (preferred)
Excellent typing skills with a high attention to detail
Ability to prioritise work and manage competing deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Confident, professional, and empathetic phone manner
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook skills

We are looking for clerks available to work 2/3 days per week
