The Department is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist to deliver expert technical and subject-matter support for the implementation and day-to-day operation of our Google Workspace administration and ChromeOS devices.

About you
- Strong expertise supporting enterprise Google Workspace administration and ChromeOS environments.
- Demonstrated experience in building API driven automation workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement interactive data visualizations using technologies such as Power BI.
- Proven ability to lead complex troubleshooting and escalation activities.
- Experience managing technical changes, procedures, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of product lifecycle management, solution development and implementation methods.
- Strong customer service experience, focusing on solution delivery and vendor engagement.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

- Industry certification in relevant technologies or equivalent industry experience.

- Provide an example of a time you led a collaborative response to a service outage or degradation of service. Describe the technical analysis you performed to troubleshoot the root cause and the decision-making process that guided your recovery strategy. How did you manage senior stakeholder expectations and maintain confidence in the public education service during the outage, ensuring engineering teams remained accountable to recovery timelines? Include how you ensured stakeholder accountability, overcame engineering difficulties, and maintained alignment with timeline deliverables. (500 words max.)
