Murrin Murrin Operations has an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our team.

Murrin Murrin Operations is Australia’s largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. Murrin Murrin Operations is wholly owned by Glencore, one of the world’s largest globally diversified natural resource companies and a major producer and marketer of more than 60 commodities. Glencore employs over 145,000 people and operates around 150 operating mining and processing sites, oil production assets and agricultural facilities in over 35 countries.

The Role

The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for planning and scheduling asset maintenance and repair work for their responsible departments, to optimise the productivity of the plant through asset availability.

You will be responsible for:

Scheduling plant maintenance to ensure minimum asset downtime and increase asset availability.

Supporting shutdown activities by providing consistent quality work orders in a timely fashion

Optimising plant availability, reliability, performance, and safety through planned maintenance strategies

Improving maintenance performance through development and modification of maintenance activities and schedules

Keeping the company dedicated CMMS up to date with effective maintenance plans and procedures.

Maintaining effective interaction with the maintenance and production departments

Actively develop a culture of teamwork and development within Planning and Shutdown Teams

About You

This role would suit a Maintenance Planner with previous experience in CMMS within a fixed plant/refinery environment who is looking for job security and career opportunities. You will also have:

An Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification (preferred)

5+ years’ experience in modern maintenance planning and scheduling, with a solid understanding of contemporary planning philosophies

Confidence to challenge scope and verify work quality, ensuring standards and expectations are met

Demonstrated ability to plan and schedule across multiple areas and disciplines

Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills, with the communication ability to work effectively across departments

Competent computer skills, including CMMS use and the Microsoft Office Suite; SAP experience is highly desirable

A valid manual Australian driver’s licence
