At Thynk Cafe + Bar, we are looking for a reliable and hard-working Kitchen Assistant to join our growing team.
This is a casual position offering between 15 to 30 hours per week, mainly morning shifts, with Saturday availability being essential.
We are a busy café environment focused on quality food, great service and a strong team culture. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in cleanliness and organisation, and works well within a team.
About the Role
Assisting chefs with daily food preparation
Basic prep work including chopping, portioning and stock rotation
Dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen
Helping during breakfast and lunch service
Receiving and organising deliveries
Following food safety and hygiene procedures
Supporting the team with catering and occasional functions
Our café operates from early mornings through to afternoons, so reliability and punctuality for morning shifts are very important.
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a kitchen or café environment preferred
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Strong work ethic and good communication skills
Reliable and punctual
Availability for morning shifts and Saturdays is essential
Availability for approximately 15–30 hours per week
