Grapeland Pty Ltd is a significant table grape grower based in Robinvale, Victoria. The business has been growing high-quality fruit and vegetables since 1978 and currently produces 11 varieties of table grapes. Grapeland Pty Ltd supplies produce to the national supermarkets as well as for export. The business is seeking a full-time qualified Forklift Driver.
The salary offered is $76,515 per annum plus superannuation.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operating tractors, fronted loader and forklift for planting, trimming, slashing, maintaining trellis and harvesting as well as spraying fertilisers
- Operating equipment with a high level of proficiency and competency
- Adhering to operation and maintenance procedures as well as inspecting the equipment operation to identify any mechanical issues
- Undertaking minor repairs and cleaning of the machine where required
- Adhering to site policies and standard operating procedures
- Ensuring to complete all documents including quality reports, safe inspection checklists, quality reports and timesheets
Skills and Experience Required:
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Flexibility with working hours
- Sound knowledge of machine and mechanical aptitude
- Excellent communication skills with all staff members
- Good team member and leadership skills
- Class C (unrestricted) drivers’ licence (preferred)
- Forklift licence
- Chemical certificate (preferred)
- Previous vineyard, farming or horticulture experience is highly desirable.
- Relevant AQF Certificate II (or equivalent) plus at least 1.5 years of relevant post-qualification experience (minimum 20 hours per week); OR
- Relevant AQF Certificate III (or equivalent) plus at least 1 year of relevant post-qualification experience (minimum 20 hours per week); OR
- At least 2 years of relevant full-time experience (minimum 38 hours per week).
