About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects across NSW. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing and maintaining project quality systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and client requirements throughout all stages of construction delivery.
This position is ideal for a proactive professional with strong infrastructure project experience who is capable of working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to drive quality outcomes and continuous improvement. Experience on data centre projects is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain project quality management systems and procedures
- Prepare, review, and manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, quality records, and related documentation
- Conduct site inspections and quality audits to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, standards, and project requirements
- Coordinate and manage hold points, witness points, and quality inspections with stakeholders
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with quality requirements and project standards
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and quality close-out processes
- Support project teams with QA documentation, traceability records, and project handover documentation
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and site teams regarding quality matters and compliance requirements
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery and quality systems
- Ensure all documentation is maintained accurately and in accordance with company and client requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a Quality Engineer or QA/QC role within infrastructure construction projects
- Mandatory experience working on infrastructure projects
- Data centre project experience highly preferred
- Strong understanding of quality assurance processes, inspection requirements, and construction standards
- Experience with ITPs, NCR management, quality audits, and project compliance documentation
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management/document control systems
- Experience working on Tier 1 or large-scale projects is highly regarded
