**Job Overview:**
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Front of House/Barista to join our team. This role combines exceptional customer service with skilled barista duties to create a memorable experience for our guests. **Key Responsibilities:**
*Customer Service (Front of House):*
- Greet and engage customers with a warm, friendly demeanor.
- Take orders accurately, provide menu recommendations, and upsell where appropriate.
- Handle cash, card, and digital payments efficiently, ensuring accurate transactions.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, or special requests promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including tables, counters, and condiment stations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
*Barista Duties:*
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages (e.g., espresso, cappuccino, latte, cold brew) to a high standard, following recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Operate and maintain coffee equipment, including espresso machines and grinders
- Monitor coffee bean stock and ensure proper storage to maintain freshness.
- Create latte art and ensure consistent quality in drink preparation.
- Stay updated on coffee trends and suggest new drink ideas to enhance the menu.
*Team Collaboration:*
- Work closely with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with restocking supplies, cleaning, and opening/closing procedures as needed.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and inclusive team environment.
**Qualifications and Skills:**
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a cafe, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
- Barista experience or training is highly desirable (willingness to learn is essential).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first attitude.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, equipment, and hygiene standards is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory.
- Food Handler’s Certificate
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 11 kg
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent bending, reaching, and moving.
