About the role
As part of a high-performing paediatric service, you will work across inpatient, outpatient, and outreach settings, supporting children and families throughout Northwest Queensland.
Provide high-quality clinical care across a busy paediatric unit, including inpatient, on-call, and retrieval services
Gain valuable experience through outreach to remote communities and collaboration with visiting subspecialties
Supervise and support junior medical staff while actively contributing to teaching and education

Competitive remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value up to $189,261 to $212,826 p.a. (Paid pro-rata for engagement period) comprising:
Base salary ranges between $133,848 and $154,749 p.a. (L4 to L9).
up to 6 weeks annual recreational leave accumulation with up to 27.5% loading when taken.
Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.
Attraction and retention incentive allowance.
Regional and rural attraction allowance.
Professional development allowance and leave of 2.2 weeks p.a.
Inaccessibility allowance.
Accommodation (Provided as per NWHHS Procedure for Staff Accommodation).
Requirements
Requires the incumbent to have obtained a degree qualification from a recognized tertiary institution and hold Current registration or eligibility for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia
Successful completion of the FRACP paediatric clinical and written exam or equivalent with RACP certification.
Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
A period of probation may apply.
