APC STORAGE TECHNOLOGY (PTY) LTD as part of APC GROUP is a leading national supplier of warehouse and office storage solutions. We specialise in the design, manufacture, installation, and servicing of a wide range of storage products including pallet racking and shelving.

We are offering an Accountant role in our Western Australia Team. This excellent career progression opportunity will allow you to work within a growing team and business where you will learn and gain valuable experience.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Will include, but not be limited to;

Perform the day to day processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions to ensure that records are up to date and accurate;
Provide an efficient and high-quality accounting service to the business;
Maintain and update financial records accurately and in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and company procedures;
Support Chief Financial Officer and Senior Accountant in preparation of Board reports;
Verify, allocate, process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable;
Analyse financial information and summarise financial findings;
Supervise assistant accountant;
Produce error-free accounting reports and presenting their results;
Maintenance of Inter-company loans between parent and subsidiary companies;
Collaborate and liaise with external auditors during preliminary and year-end audit;
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and government agencies for information and resolving accounting queries;
Assist with tax audits and tax returns;
Design and implement internal audits to ensure compliance;
Support month-end and year-end close process;
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls;
Creation of ad-hoc management reports using excel and other systems;
Generally, promote the company philosophy of trustworthiness and integrity;
Actively participate in and contribute to the team, comply with the company’s authorisation schedule, comply with any other reasonable request from management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

1-2 years’ relevant experience in similar role;
Certified Practicing Accountant program in progress or Undergraduate bachelor’s degree in accounting;
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, excellent Excel skills;
Previous experience with Accounting/Business Software;
Experience in general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process;
Familiarity with Australian Accounting Standards, IAS and GAAP.
