WSP’s Mine Tailings business consists of mine waste and tailings professionals who design and deliver specialised tailings and mine waste management projects. We are seeking a Senior Civil CAD Designer to join our high performing Mine Advisory team based in Perth, who will be responsible for delivering high-quality 2D and 3D civil and mining infrastructure design documentation, ensuring compliance with technical, commercial, and quality standards.

As a Senior Civil CAD Designer, you’ll:

Coordinate design and documentation activities with other engineering and drafting disciplines and broader project teams.
Carry out assigned project and CAD design work (both 2D and 3D) as an integral part of project teams, adhering to agreed technical and commercial standards.
Undertake three-dimensional modelling on a range of civil and mining infrastructure projects and perform quantity analyses.
Support and direct the preparation of detailed engineering drawings across all project phases, including concept design, detailed design, tender issue, construction issue, and as-constructed documentation.
Support the development and training of early career designers and engineers through mentoring and technical guidance.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and demonstrate a strong commitment to team-based delivery and outcomes.
Provide continuous improvement input to enhance team workflows, efficiency, and quality of design outputs.
