Position Summary

The Electrical Engineering Assembly Technician will play a key role in the development of advanced grain analysis machines. This role involves the assembly, testing, and optimisation of electrical systems, contributing to the overall functionality and reliability of Deimos’ solutions.

Key Responsibilities

● Assemble, integrate, and test electrical components and systems for grain analysis machines.

● Collaborate with design and production teams to interpret and implement technical drawings and schematics.

● Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to ensure optimal performance and safety of products.

● Assist in the development and adhere to safety protocols during assembly, testing, and installation processes.

● Participate in design reviews, offering input to enhance the manufacturability and efficiency of electrical components.

● Document assembly and testing procedures, maintaining accurate records of work performed.

● Support the development of prototypes and the continuous improvement of electrical systems.

Qualifications / Experience

● Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.

● Certifications in electrical assembly or a similar field are preferred.

● Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical assembly, preferably in a R&D or production setting.

● Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and documentation.

● Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment, tools, and assembly techniques.

● Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and safety standards

● Detail oriented with excellent problem solving skills.

● Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Competencies

● Attention to detail, ensures accuracy and precision in all assembly tasks.

● Collaborates effectively with team members to achieve project goals.

● Demonstrates the ability to analyse and solve electrical issues efficiently.

● Adapts to changing project requirements and timelines.

Prioritises and follows safety protocols in the assembly process.
