Light Vehicle Motor Mechanic
BNJ Auto Mechanics – Arndell Park, NSW 2148

BNJ Auto Mechanics is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Light Vehicle Motor Mechanic to join our growing workshop based in Arndell Park, NSW.

We work on a wide range of vehicles including European, Japanese, and other passenger vehicles, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

All kinds of motor mechanic repair, maintain, test motor vehicles and other internal combustion engines and related mechanical components.
Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components and referring to service manuals as needed.
Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components like water pump, radiator & hoses, alternator, starter motor and checking parts.
Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations.
Works on brakes and suspension on Passenger, Light commercial, 4WD Vehicles.
Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired
Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
Can do tyre fitting and wheel balancing, as per vehicle requirements and use tension bar to make sure all nuts are to spec.

Skills and Experience Required:

Qualified Light Vehicle Motor Mechanic
Relevant mechanical qualifications and industry experience
Current motor mechanic licence/trade qualification
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Experience working on European and Japanese vehicles preferred
Ability to work efficiently and maintain high workmanship standards

Salary:
Starting from AUD $77,000 per year, dependent on skills and experience.
