Full Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Personal Trainer to join our Merrylands team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for health and fitness and be dedicated to helping clients achieve their personal fitness goals. You will need to be able to run classes, work one-on-one with clients to create customized fitness plans, provide guidance and motivation, and ensure a safe and effective workout environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct initial fitness assessments and consultations to understand clients' goals, fitness levels, and medical history.
Develop personalised fitness programs tailored to each client's needs, abilities, and goals.
Lead one-on-one and small group training sessions, providing instruction on proper exercise techniques, equipment usage, and safety.
Monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting fitness plans as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
Educate clients on nutrition, lifestyle changes, and other factors that contribute to overall health and fitness.
Provide ongoing support, encouragement, and motivation to help clients stay on track with their fitness journey.
Maintain a clean and organised workout environment, ensuring all equipment is used safely and correctly.
Uphold a high standard of customer service and professionalism, ensuring a positive and welcoming environment for all clients.

Qualifications:

CPR certification.
Cert III & IV in fitness
Working with children check
Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, nutrition, and anatomy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire clients to achieve their fitness goals.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate clients' schedules.

Preferred Skills:

Experience working with a diverse client base, including individuals with different fitness levels and goals.
Additional certifications in specialised areas (e.g., strength and conditioning, yoga, Pilates).
Knowledge of sports performance training and injury prevention.
Basic knowledge of nutrition and meal planning.
