Full Job Description

Darren Slater Painter & Decorator is seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Administrator to support our Site Managers and Operations Team across multiple commercial projects throughout South East Queensland.

This is not a passive admin role.

We are looking for someone who can confidently coordinate people, schedules, communication and workflow across active construction projects, whilst helping drive accountability, organisation and follow-through internally.

You will work closely with Supervisors, Site Managers, Operations and Accounts to help keep projects moving efficiently and professionally.

Key responsibilities include:

Workforce and labour coordination
Scheduling assistance and follow-up
Supervisor communication and daily coordination
Worker onboarding and mobilisation
Tracking project documentation and forms
Following up defects, warranties and close-out items
Managing project communication and email correspondence
Assisting with procurement and operational administration
Updating internal systems and workflows
Coordinating information between office and site teams

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous construction, trade or job coordination experience
Strong organisational ability and attention to detail
Excellent phone manner and communication skills
Professional email writing ability
Confidence speaking with supervisors, builders and trades
Ability to follow through and close communication loops
Experience using job management systems or construction software
Ability to work in a fast-moving operational environment

Experience in commercial construction, painting, fit-out or subcontracting environments will be highly regarded.

This role has the opportunity to grow into a key long-term operational position within the business.
