Data Entry — Australian Roofing Directory (Remote, Flexible Hours)

About us

AustralianRoofers com is a directory connecting homeowners and businesses with roofing professionals across Australia. We're building out our database of verified roofing contractors nationwide and need a detail-oriented person to help us scale our listings.

The role

You'll be responsible for researching, compiling, and entering roofing business information into our directory. This is a focused, repetitive role suited to someone who takes pride in accuracy and consistency.

What you'll do

Research roofing businesses across Australia using Google, ABN Lookup, state licence registers, and other public sources
Enter business details into our CMS: name, ABN, address, phone, email, website, services offered, service areas, licence numbers
Verify accuracy of existing listings and update outdated information
Cross-check details against multiple sources (ABN Lookup, business websites, Google Business Profiles)
Categorise businesses by service type (metal roofing, tile, repairs, gutters, etc.) and location
Flag duplicates, closed businesses, or suspicious listings
Maintain a daily output log

What we're looking for

Strong attention to detail — typos and wrong phone numbers are the enemy
Fast, accurate typing (45+ WPM)
Comfortable with spreadsheets and basic web research
Self-managed and reliable with deadlines
Good written English
Reliable internet connection

Nice to have

Previous data entry, virtual assistant, or admin experience
Familiarity with WordPress, Airtable, or similar CMS tools
Understanding of Australian business structures (ABN, ACN, trading names)
Experience with directory sites or local SEO
