About the role

Club Northern Beaches Mackay is seeking an experienced Chef to join their dynamic team. This is a full-time position based in Mackay, QLD, 4740. As the Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our club members and guests, ensuring an exceptional dining experience.

What you'll be doing

Plan, prepare and cook a variety of dishes for our restaurant and catering operations
Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, odering and quality control
Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation
Ensure compliance with all food safety and health regulations
Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings
Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a chef, preferably in a similar hospitality or catering environment
Stron culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques
Must have Cert IV in commercial cookery
2years similar role
Food safety and handling certificate
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
Ability to work well in a team and lead kitchen staff
Passion for creating delicious, high quality meals
