Direct Storage Systems is a proudly Geelong Owned & Operated business based in North Geelong supplying, installing and servicing office furniture, shelving and pallet racking systems for customers nationally. We are looking for a well presented, enthusiastic & practical Salesperson keen to join our team and help us grow our local business.
Your Role/Responsibilities:
- By beginning full time in our office/showroom, to assist in growing your knowledge of our vast product range, with plans of growing into a hybrid internal and outbound sales role with responsibility for measuring up & designing warehouse /office space layouts & preparing quotes.
- Responding to enquiries via phone, email, website, social media and in-person showroom visits.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Offer product advice, support and solutions to customers across a range of products including producing quotes and processing invoices.
- Converting leads into sales and managing the sales process from initial enquiry through to delivery.
- Maintaining accurate customer records within the database.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and teams to stay updated on new products & services.
- Prospecting and closing new business, managing existing accounts.
You Will Have:
- Demonstrated experience in sales, customer service or account management.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn product systems and troubleshooting processes.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence in dealing with customers both face-to-face and over the phone.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Sound computer skills, including Office 365.
- It is a versatile role in what can be a busy environment, so you must be able to adapt to change as well as coping under pressure.
- Attention to detail is a must!
Your Experience Desirable but not Essential:
- Experience in a Sales environment
- Experience within the warehouse storage, office furniture space or any building related industries.
- Experience with technical support, servicing or maintenance-related roles
