We are currently seeking an experienced Broadcast / AV Engineer to join the team full-time our Sydney-based team in Hornsby (northern part of Sydney).
About the Role
This is a hands-on technical role focused on the design, setup, configuration, commissioning, and support of professional broadcast and AV systems. You will work across a range of projects, from broadcast and live production environments through to fixed AV installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, configuration, and commissioning of broadcast and AV systems
- Setup and operation of audio, video, and control systems
- Technical service & support, fault finding, customer support and troubleshooting
- Assisting with system design, documentation, and testing
- On-site and remote support for customers as required
- Working closely with project managers, sales engineers, and clients
- Ensuring systems are delivered to specification, on time, and to a high standard
About You
- To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a broadcast and/or professional AV engineering role
- Strong practical knowledge of audio and visual signal paths and system integration
- Competence in the setup, configuration, and operation of professional AV and broadcast equipment
- A solid understanding of control systems (e.g. LAWO VSM, Densitron IDS, Ross Dashboard or similar platforms)
- It is ESSENTIAL that you have experience with IP-based workflows and networking fundamentals
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and a professional approach when working with clients
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A current Australian driver’s licence
- The ability to do national and international travel as required
