Where you'll be working:
Join the Neurology Unit at John Hunter Hospital, one of regional Australia's leading tertiary referral hospitals. In this pivotal role, you'll provide executive and administrative support to the Head of Department for Stroke Services while working alongside a dedicated team of clinicians, trainees and administrative professionals committed to delivering outstanding patient outcomes.

This is a dynamic and collaborative environment where no two days are the same. You'll be part of a supportive team culture that values professionalism, adaptability, respect and teamwork.

About the role:
As Executive Assistant to the Head of Department for Stroke Services, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the service through high-level administrative and secretarial support.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing patient waitlists and clinic scheduling
Coordinating clinic appointments and cancellations
Providing executive and secretarial support to the Head of Department
Clinical typing and distribution of correspondence
Supporting Advanced Trainees and assisting with administrative requirements
Liaising with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
Managing competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced clinical environment

This is a varied and rewarding role that requires initiative, strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to changing demands.
