Position Title: Food Services Assistant

Classification: IN14

Salary per hour: $27.07 + superannuation + generous salary packaging options

Employment Type: Ongoing part-time 56 hours per fortnight

Award: Victorian Public Health Sector (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers) Single Interest Employers Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025

Role description

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Food Services Assistant to join our team, supporting the delivery of high-quality food services within our hospital and aged care facilities.

In this role, you will play an important part in ensuring patients and residents receive nutritious, well-presented meals, delivered with care and respect.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with the preparation, plating, and delivery of meals and beverages
Providing friendly and responsive customer service to patients and residents
Ensuring meals meet presentation, dietary, and service standards
Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and infection control
Cleaning and maintaining food service areas and equipment
Monitoring and reporting equipment issues and safety concerns
Following all policies, procedures, food safety standards, and OHS requirements
Supporting stock control and equipment tracking
Contributing to a positive team environment and continuous improvement activities

About you

Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
A positive, team-oriented attitude
Good communication and customer service skills
Understanding of, or willingness to learn, food handling and hygiene standards
